The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of characters who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the events of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his personal gain, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as important members in House Halovar could help the party reach places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Seekers and Strategists tables.

Fans can anticipate discovering which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
